Weekend

I seem to have fallen into this once a week or so posting mostly about my weekends.

What is sad is that my weekends are pretty much the only time that I have a life. I really have been asking myself the question why am I putting myself through this and I really don't have an answer for you. I hope to find one soon.

Anyway it was a good weekend because I hung out with my friend Shane. He lives in Boston but has a boyfriend here in CT.

I've known Shane since college and he's a fun guy to hang out with... but... he likes to embellish the truth a little bit. He's also a major drama queen.

Anyway, Friday night we ended up at a gay bar here in Connecticut. Shanes ex was there which drove Shane crazy and his boyfriend crazier because Shane really isn't over this crazy guy yet.

To blow off steam the boyfriend took me inside where I ran into this guy Ted that I had a drunken make out session with a few years ago. This is a guy who told me that he didn't want a boyfriend and then a week later had a boyfriend. He has since apologized for it and bought me shots the rest of the night.

While getting the shots I noticed this guy standing by himself. I mention it to my friend Ted and he said I should go talk to him. I was in a negative mood and said no and really got a push.

I went over and said hi and it turns out that he had been eyeing me as well and didn't know how to say hi. We got talking and his friend seemed to be getting annoyed. He asked for my number.

2 minutes later I had a text from him saying, "Hey it's Kevin. You're really cute"

It made my night.

Saturday we exchanged texts and he called me on Sunday when he was driving home to New Jersey. Ugh... he left out that he was from NJ. BUT... he is moving to CT...

Who knows how this will turn out. He likes me which is good. He is a die hard Giants fan which is better.

We'll see how it goes.

  4. However it turns out, this reminds me that not everything in life just falls into your lap. Some of the best things in life are the result of a bit of effort, often against the grain... treasures hidden in a little mud. Cheers.

  5. Speaking as a former resident of Jersey, he's a loser until he moves.
