The Weekend

My weekend was a pretty good one. My parents came in on Friday to help my little sister move into the Bronx. We had dinner out near her new apartment on Arthur Avenue, which is the real Little Italy in NYC. We ate at this place called Enzo’s which is straight out of The Sopranos.

After dinner I met up with Brechi and Cooper for drinks at GYM and Barracuda. It was a fun night where we started talking to these cute guys in the back, and made a few new friends.

Saturday was a LONG day for me. First was softball Quarter-finals. We had to play until we lost… the first game I played great and hit a home run driving in 3 runs. By the 3rd game I was so tired and we ended up losing by 1 in the bottom of the 7th inning. It was a great game but we lost. After the game most of the team went and got food and margaritas.

I took a short nap when I got home and then met this guy to see Transformers. It was a blind date kind of thing and we really didn’t click that well. After the movie was over we walked to the subway and we said our goodbyes. I headed to Vlada to get a drink before I went home and ran into my friend Rob, who I thought moved to Chicago already. Anyway, he was there celebrating his friend Miguel’s birthday. It was great to see those guys. Turns out that Miguel is friends with some of the guys we met at barracuda the night before! So it was fun to see those guys again.

After about a half hour I made eye contact with a guy that was standing near us. A cute guy. He came up to me and said, “What’s up JP?!” I was kinda shocked. Turns out he is a fan of the blog! This was the first time I have ever had someone who reads the blog come up to me and say hello! I was really excited. We had great conversation and he is also friends with some of the Barracuda guys.

Anyway, the weekend was fun. Saturday night/Sunday morning was interesting to say the least. Hope everyone had a great weekend!
