The Giants...

I am still hung over from that so-called game the New York Football Giants played against Tennessee. I can’t even speak about how much bullshit happened.

What I can say is that Jeremy Shockey had a bone sticking out of his finger, taped it up, and played. He made some great catches from Eli when he was making passes. He had fire and was pumped up. He showed me a lot as a Giants fan.

The last thing I will say on the Giants is that I won’t quit on them like a certain Defensive end and Wide Receiver quit on them during the game.
The similarities are striking.
A year ago today, the Giants suffered a devastating loss on the road when Jay Feely missed three potential game-winning field goals in Seattle and the Seahawks won in overtime. The score was 24-21. The referee in the game was Larry Nemmers. The Giants had lost two of their last three games and flew home with a 7-4 record, which left them tied for first place in the NFC East with Dallas. Their next game was at home against the Cowboys, who had 10 days to prepare after playing on Thanksgiving.

Fast forward to the current situation. Yesterday, the Giants endured another agonizing defeat on the road when they blew a 21-0 fourth-quarter lead and lost to the Tennessee Titans. The score was 24-21. The referee in the game was Larry Nemmers. The Giants have lost three games in a row and are 6-5, one game behind Dallas in the division standings. Their next game is at home against the Cowboys, who have 10 days to prepare after playing on Thanksgiving. The winner will be in first place in the NFC East (the Giants will have the tiebreaker advantage because they won in Dallas on Oct. 23).

Last season, the Giants rebounded from the setback in Seattle to defeat the Cowboys, 17-10, and take a division lead they would never relinquish. Now they must again lift themselves off the mat and make a similar stand, or the promise of their 6-2 start will disintegrate into a playoff-less season.
I guess we will see what team shows up against the Cowboys this Sunday... and as always, I will be there at GIANTS STADIUM tailgating.

Hi and stuff

Hello to all of you coming over from Slugger's ClubhouseCloset blog.

Err.. ok, this is akward. I only have 4 posts and didn't want him to "link" my site until I had AT LEAST 10 healthy posts on my here, but no big deal. He already posted my link so no biggie.

I just got off the phone with "Slugger" and he was making a post as we were talking on the phone. I was about to go to bed and then he went an started linking to me.

I guess, read my first post, get to know me better and keep reading in the coming weeks and months. I am a big fan of debriefingtheboys. I kind of want to model my blog after his. If you haven't read his blog, you should go do so. It is very entertaining and he seems to be an awesome guy.

To kind of "out" him, Slugger will be at the Bears/Giants game with me this Sunday. I am an avid New York Football Giants fan. I have been attending home games since I was 6 years old. I know crazy, eh. The tailgating will be insane for this game and I can't wait for it.

Then next Friday I leave for Orlando/Jacksonville for a few days. I am spending a few days with some old friends that I interned with at Disney World on the College Program then heading up to Jacksonville on Sunday night to catch the Monday Night Football game between the Jag's and Giants. Not too bad....and Yes.... I am crazy about the Giants.

If you are in the NYC area, don't be a stranger, say hello. I am off to bed right now to get some sleep for work tonight. It will be my first blog entry tonight working so check in and see what my sleepless mind has to say.
